Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of extracts from Human brain, using Gastrin Releasing Peptide Antibody. The lane on the left was treated with blocking peptide.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)-Paraffin
(MBS9612377 at 1/100 staining Rat lung tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the primary antibody at 4°C over night. An HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit antibody was used as the secondary antibody.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)-Paraffin
(MBS9612377 at 1/100 staining Mouse lung tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the primary antibody at 4°C overnight. An HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit antibody was used as the secondary antibody.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)/Immunocytochemistry (ICC)
(MBS9612377 staining Hela cells by IF/ICC. The samples were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100,then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25°C. Samples were then incubated with primary Ab(MBS9612377 1:200) and mouse anti-beta tubulin Ab(T0023 1:200) for 1 hour at 37°C. An AlexaFluor594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG(H+L) Ab(Red) and an AlexaFluor488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG(H+L) Ab(Green) were used as the secondary antibody. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI(blue).)
Important Note: For western blots, incubate membrane with diluted Ab in 5% w/v milk, 1X TBS, 0.1% TweenR20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, over night.

Predicted Molecular Weight: (Calculated)16kDa.
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the bombesin-like family of gastrin-releasing peptides. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate two peptides, gastrin-releasing peptide and neuromedin-C. These peptides regulate numerous functions of the gastrointestinal and central nervous systems, including release of gastrointestinal hormones, smooth muscle cell contraction, and epithelial cell proliferation. These peptides are also likely to play a role in human cancers of the lung, colon, stomach, pancreas, breast, and prostate. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016]
Uniprot Description
GRP: GRP stimulates gastrin release as well as other gastrointestinal hormones. Operates as a negative feedback regulating fear and established a causal relationship between GRP- receptor gene expression, long-term potentiation, and amygdala- dependent memory for fear. Belongs to the bombesin/neuromedin-B/ranatensin family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The GRP grp (Catalog #AAA9612377) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Gastrin Releasing Peptide Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Gastrin Releasing Peptide can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IF: 1:100-1:500 ICC: 1:100-1:500 IHC: 1:50-1:200 ELISA(peptide): 1:20000-1:40000 The optimal diulutions should be determined by the end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GRP grp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Gastrin Releasing Peptide, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
