NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the GSK-3-binding protein family. The protein inhibits GSK-3-mediated phosphorylation of beta-catenin and positively regulates the Wnt signaling pathway. It may function in tumor progression and in lymphomagenesis. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]

Uniprot Description

FRAT1: Positively regulates the Wnt signaling pathway by stabilizing beta-catenin through the association with GSK-3. May play a role in tumor progression and collaborate with PIM1 and MYC in lymphomagenesis. Belongs to the GSK-3-binding protein family.

Protein type: Transcription regulation; Oncoprotein

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10q24.1

Cellular Component: cytosol

Biological Process: Wnt receptor signaling pathway; embryonic axis specification

Product Notes

The FRAT1 frat1 (Catalog #AAA9214170) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 244-274. The FRAT1 Antibody (C-term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FRAT1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FRAT1 frat1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FRAT1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
