Upon reconstitution, this antibody can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months without detectable loss of activity.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Shelf Life: >12 months
Related Product Information for anti-FKN antibody
Fractalkine is the only member of the CX3C chemokine family. It is known to attract monocytes, neutrophils, T cells, and NK cells.Fractalkine's unique structure enables dual functions; it acts not only as a potent chemoattractant, but also as an adhesion molecule by capturing leukocytes in an integrin- or G protein-independent manner, facilitating their migration into tissue. Fractalkine (FKN) is produced as a membrane-bound form presented at the cell surface by a mucinlike stalk.FKN can be released as a soluble form (sFKN) following proteolytic cleavage.

Uniprot Description

CX3CL1: The soluble form is chemotactic for T-cells and monocytes, but not for neutrophils. The membrane-bound form promotes adhesion of those leukocytes to endothelial cells. May play a role in regulating leukocyte adhesion and migration processes at the endothelium. Binds to CX3CR1. Belongs to the intercrine delta family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16q13

Cellular Component: extracellular space; cell surface; extracellular region; plasma membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: protein binding; chemokine activity; receptor binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of transforming growth factor-beta1 production; neutrophil chemotaxis; cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; leukocyte chemotaxis; defense response; angiogenesis involved in wound healing; chemotaxis; macrophage chemotaxis; leukocyte adhesive activation; positive regulation of angiogenesis; positive regulation of calcium-independent cell-cell adhesion; immune response; cell adhesion; lymphocyte chemotaxis; positive regulation of inflammatory response

Product Notes

The FKN cx3cl1 (Catalog #AAA551021) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti Human Fractalkine (CX3CL1) Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Fractalkine (CX3CL1) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). ELISA: Use at a concentration range of 0.5-1ug/ml. The detection limit for CX3CL1 is approximately 0.16 ng/well. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FKN cx3cl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fractalkine (CX3CL1), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
