Uniprot Description

Function: Transcription factor

Probable.

Subcellular location: Nucleus

Probable.

Tissue specificity: First expressed within the dorsolateral ectoderm, except for the organizer territory. During gastrulation, expressed in 2 ectodermal stripes adjacent to the dorsal midline. With the onset of neurulation, expression shifts first to the neural plate before settling on the bottom of the neural tube, on top of the notochord. Expression is then absent until stage 35, at which stage a pair of cells in the fourth rhombomere in the dorsolateral outer area of the rhombencephalon show expression. This is followed shortly afterwards by expression in a pair of cells in rhombomere 6 at the ventricular side of the rhombencephalon. Ref.1

Developmental stage: Expression begins after the mid-blastula transition, peaks during gastrulation and is completely extinguished at the end of neurulation, before reappearing in swimming tadpoles. Ref.1

Sequence similarities: Contains 1 fork-head DNA-binding domain.

Product Notes

The FOXB2 foxb2 (Catalog #AAA5315856) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's FOXB2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:1000 IP: 1:10-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FOXB2 foxb2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FOXB2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
