Applicable Applications for anti-FANCE antibody
Peptide ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Application Notes
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 32000.
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Placenta shows nuclear staining in some trophoblasts. Recommended concentration, 3-6ug/ml.
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 70kDa band in Human Adipose and Uterus lysates after 0.1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 58.7kDa according to NP_068741.1. The 70kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
Immunogen
Peptide with sequence C-EHKSLESLADGGS, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_068741.1.
Epitope
Internal region

NCBI Description

The Fanconi anemia complementation group (FANC) currently includes FANCA, FANCB, FANCC, FANCD1 (also called BRCA2), FANCD2, FANCE, FANCF, FANCG, FANCI, FANCJ (also called BRIP1), FANCL, FANCM and FANCN (also called PALB2). The previously defined group FANCH is the same as FANCA. Fanconi anemia is a genetically heterogeneous recessive disorder characterized by cytogenetic instability, hypersensitivity to DNA crosslinking agents, increased chromosomal breakage, and defective DNA repair. The members of the Fanconi anemia complementation group do not share sequence similarity; they are related by their assembly into a common nuclear protein complex. This gene encodes the protein for complementation group E. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

FANCE: As part of the Fanconi anemia (FA) complex functions in DNA cross-links repair. Required for the nuclear accumulation of FANCC and provides a critical bridge between the FA complex and FANCD2. Belongs to the multisubunit FA complex composed of FANCA, FANCB, FANCC, FANCE, FANCF, FANCG, FANCL/PHF9 and FANCM. The complex is not found in FA patients. Interacts with FANCC and FANCD2.

Protein type: DNA repair, damage

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6p22-p21

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; nucleus

Disease: Fanconi Anemia, Complementation Group E; Tracheoesophageal Fistula With Or Without Esophageal Atresia

Product Notes

The FANCE fance (Catalog #AAA422402) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-FANCE Antibody reacts with Tested: Human; Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Cow and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FANCE can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FANCE fance for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: EHKSLESLAD GGS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FANCE, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
