Related Product Information for anti-FAM59A antibody
FAM59A, also known as GAREM, was initially identified through a mass spectroscoptic method that measures different phosphotyrosine states of proteins in response to different cell stimuli. FAM59A is a downstream molecule in the EGF signaling pathway that is tyrosine-phosphorylated, and this phosphorylation is needed for the binding of Grb2, an adaptor protein crucial to the transduction of growth signals from the plasma membrane to the nucleus. ERK activation in response to EGF stimulation is regulated by FAM59A in COS-7 and HeLa cells, and the overexpression of FAM59A stimulated cell proliferation and colony formation in soft agar, suggesting that FAM59A might be a critical protein with roles in ligand-mediated signaling pathway of the EGF receptor and the tumorigenesis of cells.

Product Notes

The FAM59A garem (Catalog #AAA9404701) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FAM59A Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FAM59A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FAM59A garem for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FAM59A, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
