NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The cytoplasmic peripheral membrane protein encoded by this gene functions as a protein-tyrosine kinase substrate in microvilli. As a member of the ERM protein family, this protein serves as an intermediate between the plasma membrane and the actin cytoskeleton. This protein plays a key role in cell surface structure adhesion, migration and organization, and it has been implicated in various human cancers. A pseudogene located on chromosome 3 has been identified for this gene. Alternatively spliced variants have also been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
Ezrin: a member of the ERM family which includes radixin and moesin. ERM proteins appear to function as cross-linkers between plasma membranes and actin-based cytoskeletons. Plays a key role in cell surface structure adhesion, migration, and organization.

Product Notes
The EZR ezr (Catalog #AAA8106614) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Ezrin Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Ezrin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:2000 ELISA: 1:5000-1:10,000 IHC-P: 1:10,000-1:20,000 IP: 1-4uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EZR ezr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ezrin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
