Related Product Information for anti-ERO1L antibody
Description: Oxidoreductase involved in disulfide bond formation in the endoplasmic reticulum. Efficiently reoxidizes P4HB/PDI, the enzyme catalyzing protein disulfide formation, in order to allow P4HB to sustain additional rounds of disulfide formation. Following P4HB reoxidation, passes its electrons to molecular oxygen via FAD, leading to the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the cell. Required for the proper folding of immunoglobulins. Involved in the release of the unfolded cholera toxin from reduced P4HB/PDI in case of infection by V.cholerae, thereby playing a role in retrotranslocation of the toxin. Plays an important role in ER stress-induced, CHOP-dependent apoptosis by activating the inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor IP3R1.

Post Translational Modifications: N-glycosylated. The Cys-94/Cys-99 and Cys-394/Cys-397 disulfide bonds constitute the redox-active center. The Cys-94/Cys-99 disulfide bond may accept electron from P4HB and funnel them to the active site disulfide Cys-394/Cys-397 (By similarity). The regulatory Cys-99/Cys-104 disulfide bond stabilizes the other regulatory bond Cys-94/Cys-131 (PubMed:23027870).

Subunit Structure: Predominantly monomer. May function both as a monomer and a homodimer. Interacts with PDILT.

Similarity: Belongs to the EROs family.

Product Notes

The ERO1L ero1a (Catalog #AAA9611735) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ERO1L Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat Predicted: Pig, Bovine, Horse, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog, Chicken and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ERO1L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ERO1L ero1a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ERO1L, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
