NCBI Description

induces neurite outgrowth; may play a role in positive regulation of cerebellar development [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

EFNB1: a type I membrane protein of the ephrin family. A ligand of Eph-related receptor tyrosine kinases EphB1 and EphA1. Ephrins and ephrin receptors mediate numerous developmental processes, particularly in the nervous system. Ephrin-B1 may play a role in cell adhesion and functions in the development or maintenance of the nervous system. Binding to its receptor induces the collapse of commissural axons/growth cones in vitro. Induced by TNF-alpha. Expressed in brain, heart, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, and pancreas.

Protein type: Ligand, receptor tyrosine kinase; Membrane protein, integral

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; plasma membrane; integral to membrane; synapse; nucleus; lipid raft

Molecular Function: protein binding; ephrin receptor binding

Biological Process: nervous system development; axon guidance; ephrin receptor signaling pathway; positive regulation of T cell proliferation; embryonic pattern specification; neural crest cell migration

Product Notes

The Efnb1 efnb1 (Catalog #AAA839478) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Ephrin B1/B2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA). IHC: 1:50-1:100 ELISA: 1:10000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Efnb1 efnb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ephrin B1/B2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
