Rabbit EIF2B Polyclonal Antibody | anti-EIF2B antibody
Anti-EIF2B Antibody
IHC: 1:50-1:200
IP: 1:20-1:100
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of EIF2B expression in mouse thymus (A), rat kidney (B) whole cell lysates.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemical analysis of EIF2B staining in human stomach formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes the beta subunit of eukaryotic initiation factor-2B (EIF2B). EIF2B is involved in protein synthesis and exchanges GDP and GTP for its activation and deactivation. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]
Uniprot Description
eIF2B-beta: eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2B, subunit 5. A translational regulatory protein that functions in the early steps of protein synthesis by catalyzing the exchange of eukaryotic initiation factor 2-bound GDP for GTP. Mutation in EIF2B5 causes childhood ataxia with central nervous system hypomyelination/ vanishing white matter leukodystrophy.

Product Notes
The EIF2B eif2b2 (Catalog #AAA8306554) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-EIF2B Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's EIF2B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 IP: 1:20-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EIF2B eif2b2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EIF2B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
