Related Product Information for anti-EDNRA antibody
The ETA receptor is an Endothelin Receptor that mediates the effects of endothelin-1, a mitogen with potent contractile properties. In the human fetal olfactory epithelium cell line FNC-B4, the ETA receptor increases the secretion of gonadotropin-releasing hormone. Increased ETA concentration may be correlated with smooth muscle hypertrophy observed in patients suffering from bladder-outlet obstruction.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes the receptor for endothelin-1, a peptide that plays a role in potent and long-lasting vasoconstriction. This receptor associates with guanine-nucleotide-binding (G) proteins, and this coupling activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Polymorphisms in this gene have been linked to migraine headache resistance. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]

Uniprot Description

EDNRA: Receptor for endothelin-1. Mediates its action by association with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol- calcium second messenger system. The rank order of binding affinities for ET-A is: ET1 > ET2 >> ET3. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Endothelin receptor subfamily. EDNRA sub-subfamily. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The EDNRA ednra (Catalog #AAA247684) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal to Human EDNRA / Endothelin A Receptor reacts with Gibbon, Gorilla, Human Predicted Reactivity: Monkey (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's EDNRA / Endothelin A Receptor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin). IHC-P (16 ug/ml). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EDNRA ednra for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EDNRA / Endothelin A Receptor, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
