Immunohistochemistry (IHC)

(Immunohistochemical analysis of EDG7 staining in human liver cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.)

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family, as well as the EDG family of proteins. This protein functions as a cellular receptor for lysophosphatidic acid and mediates lysophosphatidic acid-evoked calcium mobilization. This receptor couples predominantly to G(q/11) alpha proteins. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

EDG7: Receptor for lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), a mediator of diverse cellular activities. May play a role in the development of ovarian cancer. Seems to be coupled to the G(i)/G(o) and G(q) families of heteromeric G proteins. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, multi-pass; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p22.3

Cellular Component: axon; integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; phospholipid binding; G-protein alpha-subunit binding; lipid binding

Biological Process: synaptic transmission; G-protein signaling, coupled to cyclic nucleotide second messenger; elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration during G-protein signaling, coupled to IP3 second messenger (phospholipase C activating); elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; activation of MAPK activity; bleb formation; positive regulation of calcium ion transport; positive regulation of collateral sprouting

Product Notes

The LPAR3 lpar3 (Catalog #AAA822320) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-EDG7 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's EDG7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB (1/500 - 1/1000), IH (1/100 - 1/200). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LPAR3 lpar3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EDG7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
