Preparation and Storage
Storage:
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 4 degree C for frequent use.
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for 24 months.

Stability Test:
thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Uniprot Description

EGR2: sequence-specific DNA-binding transcription factor. Controls systemic autoimmunity; essential for the induction of T-cell anergy. Egr2 and Egr3 induce the suppressive activity of CD4+ T cells, cooperatively inhibiting humoral immune responses by promoting TGF-¿3 secretion. Belongs to the EGR C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: C2H2-type zinc finger protein; DNA-binding; EC 6.3.2.-

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10 B5.1|10 34.96 cM

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; intracellular membrane-bound organelle; nucleoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: chromatin binding; DNA binding; DNA binding transcription factor activity; ligase activity; metal ion binding; nucleic acid binding; protein binding; ubiquitin protein ligase binding

Biological Process: brain segmentation; facial nerve structural organization; fat cell differentiation; motor axon guidance; myelination; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-templated; protein export from nucleus; regulation of ossification; regulation of transcription, DNA-templated; response to insulin stimulus; rhombomere 3 development; rhombomere 3 formation; rhombomere 5 formation; rhythmic behavior; Schwann cell differentiation; transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; transcription, DNA-dependent

Product Notes

The EGR2 egr2 (Catalog #AAA2003765) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Polyclonal Antibody to Early Growth Response Protein 2 (EGR2) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Early Growth Response Protein 2 (EGR2) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) - Formalin/Paraffin, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Western blotting: 0.5-2ug/mL Immunohistochemistry: 5-20ug/mL Immunocytochemistry: 5-20ug/mL Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EGR2 egr2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Early Growth Response Protein 2 (EGR2), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
