Goat Duffy/FY/DARC Polyclonal Antibody | anti-DARC antibody
Goat anti-Duffy/FY/DARC Antibody
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded human kidney stains epithelial cells of renal tubules and endothelial cells of vessels. The granular staining is compatible with the endoplasmic reticulum association of the protein. Human Lung showing endothelial staining. Recommended concentration, 3ug/ml.
Western Blot: Approx 35kDa band observed in human kidney and human liver lysates (calculated MW of 35.6kDa according to NP_002027.2). Recommended concentration: 0.1-0.3ug/ml.
Flow cytometry: A customer has reported successful staining of HEK293S-TetR transfected with DARC receptor at a dilution of 1/1000.
Western Blot (WB)
((0.1ug/ml) staining of human liver lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
((3ug/ml) staining of paraffin embedded human kidney. Microwaved antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6, HRP-staining.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a glycosylated membrane protein and a non-specific receptor for several chemokines. The encoded protein is the receptor for the human malarial parasites Plasmodium vivax and Plasmodium knowlesi. Polymorphisms in this gene are the basis of the Duffy blood group system. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
DARC: Non-specific receptor for many chemokines such as IL-8, GRO, RANTES, MCP-1 and TARC. It is also the receptor for the human malaria parasites Plasmodium vivax and Plasmodium knowlesi. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor Duffy family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

The DARC ackr1 (Catalog #AAA421099) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-Duffy/FY/DARC Antibody reacts with Tested: Human; Expected from sequence similarity: Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Duffy/FY/DARC can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 16000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DARC ackr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: HRAELSPSTE NSSQLDFED. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Duffy/FY/DARC, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
