Related Product Information for anti-DOCK2 antibody
Dock2 (Dedicator of cytokinesis 2), is a large protein involved in intracellular signaling networks and a member of the DOCK-A subfamily which function as activators of small G proteins. Dock2 specifically activates isoforms of the small G protein Rac and appears to be expressed specifically in leukocytes. These cells express both Rac1 and Rac2 and Dock2 has been shown to bind and promote nucleotide exchange on both of these isoforms. (Nishihara, 1999)

NCBI Description

The DOCK2 gene encodes a hematopoietic cell-specific CDM family protein that is indispensable for lymphocyte chemotaxis.[supplied by OMIM]

Uniprot Description

DOCK2: a hematopoietic cell-specific CDM family protein that is indispensable for lymphocyte chemotaxis. Plays a role in T cell receptor-induced activation of Rac2 and IL-2 transcription. Interacts with RAC, CRKL, and CD3-zeta. Association with ELMO1 is critical for DOCK2-mediated Rac activation. Two alternatively-spliced isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold; GAPs, Rac/Rho; GAPs; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q35.1

Cellular Component: cytoskeleton; membrane; endomembrane system; cytosol

Molecular Function: protein binding; Rac guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity; T cell receptor binding

Biological Process: alpha-beta T cell proliferation; viral reproduction; formation of immunological synapse; myeloid dendritic cell activation during immune response; positive regulation of phagocytosis; small GTPase mediated signal transduction; establishment of T cell polarity; actin cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; lipid raft polarization; chemotaxis; negative thymic T cell selection; regulation of defense response to virus by virus; positive thymic T cell selection

Product Notes

The DOCK2 dock2 (Catalog #AAA621344) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Dock2 (Dedicator of Cytokinesis 2, AI662014, AW122239, CED-5, Dedicator of Cytokinesis Protein 2, Hch, MBC, Protein Hch) reacts with Equine, Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Dock2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5mg/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DOCK2 dock2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Dock2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
