Uniprot Description
DNAJC15: Negative regulator of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. Prevents mitochondrial hyperpolarization state and restricts mitochondrial generation of ATP. Acts as an import component of the TIM23 translocase complex. Stimulates the ATPase activity of HSPA9. Interacts with the TIM23 complex. Directly interacts with PAM16/MAGMAS; this interaction counteracts DNAJC15-dependent stimulation of HSPA9 ATPase activity. Associates with complex I of the mitochondrial electron transfer chain; this interaction may interfere with the formation of supercomplexes that facilitate the transfer of electrons between complexes
Protein type: Chaperone; Membrane protein, integral; Mitochondrial; Cell adhesion
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 13q14.1
Cellular Component: integral to membrane; mitochondrial inner membrane
Molecular Function: protein binding
Biological Process: cellular response to starvation; negative regulation of protein complex assembly; protein transport; regulation of lipid metabolic process

Product Notes
The DNAJC15 dnajc15 (Catalog #AAA768692) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DNAJC15 Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DNAJC15 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DNAJC15 dnajc15 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DNAJC15, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
