Uniprot Description

Function: Interacts with HSP70 and can stimulate its ATPase activity. Stimulates the association between HSC70 and HIP.

Subunit structure: Interacts with DNAJC3. Interacts with SRPK1. Ref.6 Ref.7

Subcellular location: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Nucleus › nucleolus. Note: Translocates rapidly from the cytoplasm to the nucleus, and especially to the nucleoli, upon heat shock. Ref.5

Induction: By heat shock. Ref.5

Sequence similarities: Contains 1 J domain.

Sequence caution: The sequence CAA44287.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Frameshift at positions 11, 28, 81 and 136.

Product Notes

The DNAJB1 dnajb1 (Catalog #AAA6414321) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DNAJB1 (DnaJ Homolog Subfamily B Member 1, Heat Shock 40kD Protein 1, Heat Shock Protein 40, Hdj1, Sis1, HSPF1, Hsp40, RSPH16B) (Biotin) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DNAJB1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). IF: 1:50-1:200 WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DNAJB1 dnajb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DNAJB1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
