Related Product Information for anti-DLEC1 antibody
The tumor suppressor DLEC1 promotes cell proliferation when AP-2alpha2 is down-regulated in HCT116 stable clones, suggesting its pro-survival nature. DLEC1 can be a pro-survival protein under certain circumstances and a potential therapeutic target for increasing sensitivity of cancer cells to 5-FU. DLEC1 inhibits carcinoma cell growth through inducing cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, and also suppresses cell metastasis by reversing epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and cell stemness. Moreover, DLEC1 represses oncogenic signaling including JAK/STAT3, MAPK/ERK, Wnt/beta-catenin and AKT pathways in multiple carcinoma types. DLEC1 contains three YXXQ motifs and forms a protein complex with STAT3 via protein docking, which blocks STAT3-JAK2 interaction and STAT3 phosphorylation. IL-6 stimulation enhances the binding of DLEC1 with STAT3, which diminishes their interaction with JAK2 and further leads to decreased STAT3 phosphorylation. The YXXQ motifs of DLEC1 are crucial for its inhibition of STAT3 phosphorylation, and disruption of these motifs restores STAT3 phosphorylation through abolishing DLEC1 binding to STAT3. DLEC1 methylation can be utilized to identify a subset with a better prognosis in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinomas of the small duct type.

Product Notes

The DLEC1 (Catalog #AAA8110259) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-DLEC1 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DLEC1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). IHC-P: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DLEC1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DLEC1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
