Related Product Information for anti-Digoxin antibody
Digoxin also known as digitalis is a purified cardiac glycoside extracted from the foxglove plant, Digitalis lanata. Its corresponding aglycone is digoxigenin, and its acetyl derivative is acetyldigoxin. Digoxin is widely used in the treatment of various heart conditions, namely atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter and sometimes heart failure that cannot be controlled by other medication. The main pharmacological effects of Digoxin are on the heart. Extra cardiac effects are responsible for many of the adverse effects (see below). It has mechanical effects as it increases myocardial contractility; however, the duration of the contractile response is just slightly increased. Overall, the heart rate is decreased, while blood pressure increases as the stroke volume is increased, leading to increased tissue perfusion. Myocardial efficiency improves due to improved hemodynamic, and the ventricular function curve is improved.

Product Notes

The Digoxin (Catalog #AAA340550) is an Antibody produced from Sheep and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Digoxin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Dot Blot (DB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoassays, Development of Rapid tests and Other Immunoassay, Antibody Recognition Assays. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Digoxin for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Digoxin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
