Uniprot Description

Diaphanous-2: Could be involved in oogenesis. Involved in the regulation of endosome dynamics. Implicated in a novel signal transduction pathway, in which isoform 3 and CSK are sequentially activated by RHOD to regulate the motility of early endosomes through interactions with the actin cytoskeleton. Isoform 3 interacts with RHOD in the GTP-bound form. Expressed in testis, ovary, small intestine, prostate, lung, liver, kidney and leukocytes. Belongs to the formin homology family. Diaphanous subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Cytoskeletal

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xq21.33

Cellular Component: cytosol; early endosome; Golgi apparatus; intracellular membrane-bound organelle; mitochondrion; nucleolus

Molecular Function: actin binding; receptor binding; Rho GTPase binding

Biological Process: actin filament polymerization; cytokinesis; female gamete generation; multicellular organismal development; oogenesis; small GTPase mediated signal transduction

Disease: Premature Ovarian Failure 2a

Product Notes

The DIAPH2 diaph2 (Catalog #AAA8555490) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DIAPH2 (Center) Rabbit pAb reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DIAPH2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). WB: 1:1000 IHC: 1:50-100 FC/FACS: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DIAPH2 diaph2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DIAPH2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
