Related Product Information for anti-Dcn antibody
Decorin is a member of the small, leucine rich proteoglycan (SLRP) family along with biglycan. Found in the interterritorial region of cartilage, decorin interacts with collagen and other matrix proteins to regulate the cartilaginous matrix. It has been shown to interact with fibronectin, thrombospondin, C1q, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), and TGF beta. It is believed that decorin also plays a role in the cell cycle of chondrocytes. Also known as: Decorin; Bone proteoglycan II; CSCD; DCN; DCN protein; Dermatan sulphate proteoglycans II; DKFZp686J19238; DSPG 2; DSPG2; PG 40; PG II; PG S2; PG40; PGII; PGS 2; PGS2; Proteoglycan core protein; SLRR1B; Small leucine rich protein 1B.

Uniprot Description

DCN: May affect the rate of fibrils formation. Defects in DCN are the cause of congenital stromal corneal dystrophy (CSCD). Corneal dystrophies are inherited, bilateral, primary alterations of the cornea that are not associated with prior inflammation or secondary to systemic disease. Most show autosomal dominant inheritance. Belongs to the small leucine-rich proteoglycan (SLRP) family. SLRP class I subfamily. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Extracellular matrix; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Cellular Component: collagen type VI; cytoplasm; extracellular matrix; extracellular space; proteinaceous extracellular matrix

Molecular Function: collagen binding; extracellular matrix binding; glycosaminoglycan binding; protein kinase inhibitor activity; protein N-terminus binding

Biological Process: cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; negative regulation of angiogenesis; negative regulation of JAK-STAT cascade; negative regulation of protein kinase activity; peptide cross-linking via chondroitin 4-sulfate glycosaminoglycan; positive regulation of autophagy; positive regulation of macroautophagy; positive regulation of mitochondrial depolarization; positive regulation of phosphoinositide 3-kinase cascade; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter

Product Notes

The Dcn dcn (Catalog #AAA3013785) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Decorin polyclonal antibody reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Decorin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). IHC-P: 1:100-500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Dcn dcn for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Decorin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
