NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure, such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of the DEAD box protein family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. This gene encodes a member of this family. The function of this member has not been determined. Based on studies in Drosophila, the abstrakt gene is widely required during post-transcriptional gene expression. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

ELISA (1:128000), IHC-P (5 ug/ml), WB (0.5 - 2 ug/ml) Usage: Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:128000. Western blot: Approx 85kD band observed in Human Bone Marrow lysates (calculated MW of 69.8kD according to NP_057306.2). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings with dif.. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DDX41 ddx41 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DDX41 / ABS, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
