Related Product Information for anti-DcR3 antibody
Decoy Receptor 3 is a 33kD member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. DcR3 acts as a receptor for FasL and LIGHT, preventing them from binding to their cell death receptors and thereby inhibiting apoptosis. DcR3 is a soluble decoy receptor found in adult stomach, spinal cord, lymph node, trachea, spleen and lung. It may also be found in fetal lung, brain and liver. It is highly expressed in several primary tumors from colon, stomach, rectum, esophagus and in SW480 colon carcinoma cells.

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information

NCBI GI #
NCBI Official Full Name
decoy receptor 3 variant 2

NCBI Description

This gene belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. The encoded protein is postulated to play a regulatory role in suppressing FasL- and LIGHT-mediated cell death. It acts as a decoy receptor that competes with death receptors for ligand binding. Over-expression of this gene has been noted in gastrointestinal tract tumors. Read-through transcription into this gene from the neighboring upstream gene, which encodes regulator of telomere elongation helicase 1 (RTEL1), generates a non-coding transcript. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]

Uniprot Description

TNFRSF6B: Decoy receptor that can neutralize the cytotoxic ligands TNFS14/LIGHT, TNFSF15 and TNFSF6/FASL. Protects against apoptosis. Detected in fetal lung, brain and liver. Detected in adult stomach, spinal cord, lymph node, trachea, spleen, colon and lung. Highly expressed in several primary tumors from colon, stomach, rectum, esophagus and in SW480 colon carcinoma cells.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 20q13.3

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Molecular Function: protein binding; receptor activity

Biological Process: apoptosis; negative regulation of apoptosis

Product Notes

The DcR3 (Catalog #AAA620825) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DcR3, NT (TR6, Decoy Receptor 3, TNFRSF6B, TR6, M68) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DcR3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1ug/ml. Requires heat induced epitope retrieval. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DcR3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DcR3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
