NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is an oxidoreductase belonging to the copper type II, ascorbate-dependent monooxygenase family. It is present in the synaptic vesicles of postganglionic sympathetic neurons and converts dopamine to norepinephrine. It exists in both soluble and membrane-bound forms, depending on the absence or presence, respectively, of a signal peptide. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
DBH: Conversion of dopamine to noradrenaline. Homotetramer composed of two non-covalently bound disulfide-linked dimers. Activity is enhanced by nerve growth factor (in superior cervical ganglia and adrenal medulla). Trans-synaptic stimulation with reserpine, acetylcholine and glucocorticoids. Belongs to the copper type II ascorbate-dependent monooxygenase family.

Product Notes
The DBH dbh (Catalog #AAA7125419) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DBH Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DBH can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). ELISA: 1:2000-1:10000 WB: 1:200-1:1000 IHC: 1:100-1:300. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DBH dbh for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DBH, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
