Rabbit Cytochrome P450 2F1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CYP2F1 antibody
Anti-Cytochrome P450 2F1 Antibody
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of Cytochrome P450 2F1 expression in SW620 (A), BT474 (B), mouse lung (C), mouse liver (D), rat brain (E) whole cell lysates.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemical analysis of Cytochrome P450 2F1 staining in mouse lung formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and is known to dehydrogenate 3-methylindole, an endogenous toxin derived from the fermentation of tryptophan, as well as xenobiotic substrates such as naphthalene and ethoxycoumarin. This gene is part of a large cluster of cytochrome P450 genes from the CYP2A, CYP2B and CYP2F subfamilies on chromosome 19q. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
CYP2F2: May be involved in the metabolism of various pneumotoxicants including naphthalene. Is able to dealkylate ethoxycoumarin, propoxycoumarin, and pentoxyresorufin but possesses no activity toward ethoxyresorufin and only trace dearylation activity toward benzyloxyresorufin. Bioactivates 3- methylindole (3MI) by dehydrogenation to the putative electrophile 3-methylene-indolenine. Belongs to the cytochrome P450 family.
Protein type: EC 1.14.14.1; Oxidoreductase; Xenobiotic Metabolism - metabolism by cytochrome P450

The Anti-Cytochrome P450 2F1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Cytochrome P450 2F1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1/500 - 1/1000; IHC: 1/50 - 1/200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CYP2F1 cyp2f1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cytochrome P450 2F1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
