Western blotting (0.5-4 ug/ml), and Immunohistochemistry (5 ug/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Jurkat cell lysate and mouse small intestine tissue lysate can be used as positive controls. The antibody detects the full length and cleaved form of Cyr61 protein from samples of human, mouse and rat origins. Cross-reactivity to other species has not been determined.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 166 of mouse Cyr61
Positive Control
Western Blot: Jurkat cell lysate and mouse small intestine tissue. IHC: Liver tissue

Related Product Information for anti-Cyr61 antibody
Background: Cyr61 is a member of angiogenic and vasculogenic regulators designated CCN proteins, which includes CTGF, Cyr61 homolog, Fisp2. Cyr61 functions as an angiogenic inducer, stimulating cell adhesion and migration and promotes DNA synthesis of human vascular endothelial cells. Elevated expression of Cyr61 is observed during vessel growth, wound healing and chondrocyte differentiation.

Uniprot Description

CYR61: Promotes cell proliferation, chemotaxis, angiogenesis and cell adhesion. Appears to play a role in wound healing by up- regulating, in skin fibroblasts, the expression of a number of genes involved in angiogenesis, inflammation and matrix remodeling including VEGA-A, VEGA-C, MMP1, MMP3, TIMP1, uPA, PAI-1 and integrins alpha-3 and alpha-5. CYR61-mediated gene regulation is dependent on heparin-binding. Down-regulates the expression of alpha-1 and alpha-2 subunits of collagen type-1. Promotes cell adhesion and adhesive signaling through integrin alpha-6/beta-1, cell migration through integrin alpha-v/beta-5 and cell proliferation through integrin alpha-v/beta-3. Belongs to the CCN family.

Product Notes

The Cyr61 cyr61 (Catalog #AAA841036) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Cyr61 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Cyr61 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Cyr61 cyr61 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cyr61, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
