Uniprot Description

CUL5: a component of E3 ubiquitin ligase complexes, which mediate the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. Seems to be involved proteasomal degradation of p53/TP53 stimulated by adenovirus E1B-55 kDa protein. Member of the cullin family.

Protein type: Ubiquitin conjugating system

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11q22.3

Cellular Component: Cul5-RING ubiquitin ligase complex; plasma membrane; cytosol; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding; protein heterodimerization activity; ubiquitin protein ligase binding; calcium channel activity; receptor activity

Biological Process: ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; negative regulation of cell proliferation; cell proliferation; cytosolic calcium ion homeostasis; viral reproduction; protein ubiquitination; cell cycle arrest; response to osmotic stress; G1/S transition of mitotic cell cycle

Product Notes

The CUL5 cul5 (Catalog #AAA6470880) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CUL5, CT (VACM-1, Vasopressin-activated calcium-mobilizing receptor, Cullin-5, CUL-5, CUL5, VACM1) (MaxLight 405) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CUL5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:50-1:100 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CUL5 cul5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CUL5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
