Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis of MBS627860 in NCI-H460 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). CTGF (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted withMBS627860, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a mitogen that is secreted by vascular endothelial cells. The encoded protein plays a role in chondrocyte proliferation and differentiation, cell adhesion in many cell types, and is related to platelet-derived growth factor. Certain polymorphisms in this gene have been linked with a higher incidence of systemic sclerosis. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]
Uniprot Description
CTGF: Major connective tissue mitoattractant secreted by vascular endothelial cells. Promotes proliferation and differentiation of chondrocytes. Mediates heparin- and divalent cation-dependent cell adhesion in many cell types including fibroblasts, myofibroblasts, endothelial and epithelial cells. Enhances fibroblast growth factor-induced DNA synthesis. Belongs to the CCN family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The CTGF ctgf (Catalog #AAA6470887) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CTGF, CT (Connective Tissue Growth Factor, Hypertrophic Chondrocyte-specific Protein 24, Insulin-like Growth Factor-binding Protein 8, IGF-binding Protein 8, IGFBP-8, IBP-8, CCN Family Member 2, CCN2, HCS24, IGFBP8) (AP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CTGF can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). IHC-P: 1:10-1:50 WB: 1:1000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CTGF ctgf for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CTGF, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
