Related Product Information for anti-COPZ2 antibody
COPZ2 encodes a subunit of the coatomer protein complex, a seven-subunit complex that functions in the formation of COPI-type, non-clathrin-coated vesicles. COPI vesicles function in the retrograde Golgi-to-ER transport of dilysine-tagged proteins. COPZ2 is similar to a related family member, and the two encoded proteins form distinct isotypes of the coatomer protein complex.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the adaptor complexes small subunit family. The encoded protein is a subunit of the coatomer protein complex, a seven-subunit complex that functions in the formation of COPI-type, non-clathrin-coated vesicles. COPI vesicles function in the retrograde Golgi-to-ER transport of dilysine-tagged proteins. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2014]

Uniprot Description

COPZ2: The coatomer is a cytosolic protein complex that binds to dilysine motifs and reversibly associates with Golgi non- clathrin-coated vesicles, which further mediate biosynthetic protein transport from the ER, via the Golgi up to the trans Golgi network. Coatomer complex is required for budding from Golgi membranes, and is essential for the retrograde Golgi-to-ER transport of dilysine-tagged proteins. The zeta subunit may be involved in regulating the coat assembly and, hence, the rate of biosynthetic protein transport due to its association-dissociation properties with the coatomer complex. Belongs to the adaptor complexes small subunit family.

Product Notes

The COPZ2 copz2 (Catalog #AAA9214143) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 156-184. The COPZ2 Antibody (C-term) reacts with Human, mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's COPZ2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the COPZ2 copz2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "COPZ2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
