This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against COPA. It was validated on Western Blot using a cell lysate as a positive control.

Target Description: In eukaryotic cells, protein transport between the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi compartments is mediated in part by non-clathrin-coated vesicular coat proteins (COPs). Seven coat proteins have been identified, and they represent subunits of a complex known as coatomer. The subunits are designated alpha-COP, beta-COP, beta-prime-COP, gamma-COP, delta-COP, epsilon-COP, and zeta-COP. The alpha-COP, encoded by COPA, shares high sequence similarity with RET1P, the alpha subunit of the coatomer complex in yeast. Also, the N-terminal 25 amino acids of alpha-COP encode the bioactive peptide, xenin, which stimulates exocrine pancreatic secretion and may act as a gastrointestinal hormone. In eukaryotic cells, protein transport between the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi compartments is mediated in part by non-clathrin-coated vesicular coat proteins (COPs). Product Notes

The COPA copa (Catalog #AAA3210493) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The COPA antibody - N-terminal region reacts with Cow, Dog, Goat, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat, Yeast, Zebrafish and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's COPA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the COPA copa for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: PWILTSLHNG VIQLWDYRMC TLIDKFDEHD GPVRGIDFHK QQPLFVSGGD. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "COPA, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
