Related Product Information for anti-CNDP1 antibody
CNDP1, also known as carnosine dipeptidase 1, glutamate carboxypeptidase-like protein 2 (CPGL-2) or carnosinase 1 (CN1), is a member of the M20 metalloprotease family. The CNDP1 gene contains trinucleotide (CTG) repeat length polymorphism in the coding region, which has been demonstrated to be associated with susceptibility to developing diabetic nephropathy, for carnosine protection against the adverse effects of high glucose levels on renal cells. In humans, CNDP1 is secreted from the liver into the serum. In other mammals, including rodents, CNDP1 is expressed exclusively within the kidney and lacks a signal peptide. CNDP1 protein is a secreted homodimeric dipeptidase that specifically hydrolyzes L-carnosine (beta-alanyl-L-histidine), and is identified as human carnosinase expressed in the brain. CNDP1 has been associated with diabetic nephropathy in Europeans and European Americans, but not African-Americans. It was identified and confirmed as a risk factor, were cross-sectional and mostly in patients with type 2 diabetes. The polymorphisms of CNDP1 can be excluded as a risk factor for nephropathy in type 1 diabetes. In addition, CNDP1 is also suggested to be implicated in the actions of neuroprotection and neurotransmiting.

Product Notes

The CNDP1 cndp1 (Catalog #AAA8112198) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-CNDP1 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CNDP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). ELISA: 1:5000-1:10,000 IHC-P: 1:2500-1:10,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CNDP1 cndp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CNDP1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
