ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes
ELISA: To detect rat CNTF by direct ELISA (using 100ul/well antibody solution) this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.15- 0.30ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2ng/well of recombinant rat CNTF is 1.5 - 3.0ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Western Blot: To detect rat CNTF by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant rat CNTF is 1.5-3.0ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Immunogen
Highly pure (>98%) recombinant rat CNTF (rat CNTF).
Country of Origin
USA
Reconstitution
The biotinylated antibody should be reconstituted to a concentration of 50ug/ml with sterile PBS solution containing 0.1% BSA. This solution can be stored at 4 degree C for at least one month without detectable loss of activity. Frozen aliquots of this solution are stable for at least 6 months when kept at-20 degree C. Avoid more than one freeze-thaw cycle.
Preparation and Storage
-20 degree C
Stability: The lyophilized antibody is stable for at least 6 months when kept at-20 degree C.

Product Notes

The Cntf cntf (Catalog #AAA610837) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Ciliary Neurotropic Factor (CNTF) (Biotin) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Ciliary Neurotropic Factor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Cntf cntf for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ciliary Neurotropic Factor, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
