Rabbit CHRNA3 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CHRNA3 antibody
CHRNA3 antibody - N-terminal region
Target Description: The CHRNA3 subunit is expressed in the soma of the majority of pyramidal cells, with the most alpha 3 immunoreactivity observed in CA2-4 and entorhinal cortex and relatively less in CA1 and subicular pyramidal cell soma.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This locus encodes a member of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor family of proteins. Members of this family of proteins form pentameric complexes comprised of both alpha and beta subunits. This locus encodes an alpha-type subunit, as it contains characteristic adjacent cysteine residues. The encoded protein is a ligand-gated ion channel that likely plays a role in neurotransmission. Polymorphisms in this gene have been associated with an increased risk of smoking initiation and an increased susceptibility to lung cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]
Uniprot Description
nAChRA3: After binding acetylcholine, the AChR responds by an extensive change in conformation that affects all subunits and leads to opening of an ion-conducting channel across the plasma membrane. Belongs to the ligand-gated ion channel (TC 1.A.9) family. Acetylcholine receptor (TC 1.A.9.1) subfamily. Alpha- 3/CHRNA3 sub-subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The CHRNA3 chrna3 (Catalog #AAA3202376) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CHRNA3 antibody - N-terminal region reacts with Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat, Zebrafish and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CHRNA3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CHRNA3 chrna3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: EHRLFERLFE DYNEIIRPVA NVSDPVIIHF EVSMSQLVKV DEVNQIMETN. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CHRNA3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
