Rabbit centromere protein O Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CENPO antibody
Rabbit anti-human centromere protein O polyclonal Antibody
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a component of the interphase centromere complex. The encoded protein is localized to the centromere throughout the cell cycle and is required for bipolar spindle assembly, chromosome segregation and checkpoint signaling during mitosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple protein isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]
Uniprot Description
CENPO: Component of the CENPA-CAD (nucleosome distal) complex, a complex recruited to centromeres which is involved in assembly of kinetochore proteins, mitotic progression and chromosome segregation. May be involved in incorporation of newly synthesized CENPA into centromeres via its interaction with the CENPA-NAC complex. Modulates the kinetochore-bound levels of NDC80 complex. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Unknown function
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2p23.3
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; cytosol
Biological Process: nucleosome assembly; DNA replication-independent nucleosome assembly at centromere; mitotic cell cycle

Product Notes
The CENPO cenpo (Catalog #AAA713760) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti-human centromere protein O polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's centromere protein O can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CENPO cenpo for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "centromere protein O, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
