Related Product Information for anti-Cdk6 antibody
This gene is a member of the cyclin-dependent protein kinase (CDK) family. CDK family members are highly similar to the gene products of Saccharomyces cerevisiae cdc28, and Schizosaccharomyces pombe cdc2, and are known to be important regulators of cell cycle progression. This kinase is a catalytic subunit of the protein kinase complex that is important for cell cycle G1 phase progression and G1/S transition. The activity of this kinase first appears in mid-G1 phase, which is controlled by the regulatory subunits including D-type cyclins and members of INK4 family of CDK inhibitors. This kinase, as well as CDK4, has been shown to phosphorylate, and thus regulate the activity of, tumor suppressor protein Rb. Expression of this gene is up-regulated in some types of cancer. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]

Uniprot Description

CDK6: a protein kinase of the CDK family. Important for cell cycle G1 phase progression and G1/S transition. The activity of this kinase first appears in mid-G1 phase, controlled by the regulatory subunits including D-type cyclins and members of INK4 family of CDK inhibitors. Phosphorylates and regulates the activity of the Rb tumor suppressor protein. Overexpressed and/or disrupted by translocation in leukemias, lymphomas and other cancers and amplified in gliomas and rodent cancers.

Product Notes

The Cdk6 cdk6 (Catalog #AAA417311) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Cdk6 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Cdk6 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). IHC: 1:50~100 IF:1:100~1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Cdk6 cdk6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cdk6, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
