Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis in MDA-MB435 cell line lysates (35ug/lane) using MBS643973. This demonstrates that MBS643973 detected the CD63 protein (arrow).)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot using MBS643973 (1:2000) Lane 1: A2058 whole cell lysates Lane 2: A375 whole cell lysates Lane 3: HL-60 whole cell lysates Lane 4: THP-1 whole cell lysates Lane 5: U-87 MG whole cell lysates Lysates/proteins at 20ug/lane. Secondary IgG (HRP) Goat Anti-Rabbit at 10,000. Predicted band size: 25kD. Blocking/Dilution buffer: 5% NFDM/TBST.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemistry analysis of CD63 in formalin fixed paraffin embedded.human melanoma tissue sections using MBS643973. Tissue was fixed with formaldehyde and blocked with 3% BSA for 0.5hr at RT; antigen retrieval was by heat mediation with a citrate buffer (pH6). Samples were incubated with MBS643973 (1:25) for 1hr at 37°C. A undiluted biotinylated goat polyvalent antibody was used as the secondary antibody.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human skin carcinoma using MBS643973 followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of MBS643973 for immunohistochemistry.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. Most of these members are cell-surface proteins that are characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains. The proteins mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility. The encoded protein is a cell surface glycoprotein that is known to complex with integrins. It may function as a blood platelet activation marker. Deficiency of this protein is associated with Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome. Also this gene has been associated with tumor progression. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different protein isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2012]

The CD63 cd63 (Catalog #AAA643973) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD63, CT (CD63, MLA1, TSPAN30, CD63 antigen, Granulophysin, Lysosomal-associated membrane protein 3, Melanoma-associated antigen ME491, OMA81H, Ocular melanoma-associated antigen, Tetraspanin-30, CD63) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD63 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100 Flow Cytometry: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD63 cd63 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD63, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
