CD127 acts as a receptor for thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP). Defects in IL7R are a cause of severe combined immunodeficiency autosomal recessive T-cell-negative/B-cell- positive/NK-cell-positive (T(-)B(+)NK(+) SCID).
