Related Product Information for anti-CD106 antibody
This gene is a member of the Ig superfamily and encodes a cell surface sialoglycoprotein expressed by cytokine-activated endothelium. This type I membrane protein mediates leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion and signal transduction, and may play a role in the development of artherosclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis. Two alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.

Uniprot Description

VCAM1: Important in cell-cell recognition. Appears to function in leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion. Interacts with the beta-1 integrin VLA4 on leukocytes, and mediates both adhesion and signal transduction. The VCAM1/VLA4 interaction may play a pathophysiologic role both in immune responses and in leukocyte emigration to sites of inflammation. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The CD106 vcam1 (Catalog #AAA6282723) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD106, ID (VCAM1, L1CAM, Vascular cell adhesion protein 1, INCAM-100, CD106) (MaxLight 405) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD106 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:50-100 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD106 vcam1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD106, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
