Related Product Information for anti-CCT7 antibody
This gene encodes a molecular chaperone that is a member of the chaperonin containing TCP1 complex (CCT), also known as the TCP1 ring complex (TRiC). This complex consists of two identical stacked rings, each containing eight different proteins. Unfolded polypeptides enter the central cavity of the complex and are folded in an ATP-dependent manner. The complex folds various proteins, including actin and tubulin. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Related pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 5 and 6.

Uniprot Description

CCT-eta: Molecular chaperone; assists the folding of proteins upon ATP hydrolysis. Known to play a role, in vitro, in the folding of actin and tubulin. Belongs to the TCP-1 chaperonin family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Chaperone

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2p13.2

Cellular Component: chaperonin-containing T-complex; microtubule; mitochondrion; cytoplasm; cytosol

Molecular Function: identical protein binding; protein binding; unfolded protein binding; ATP binding

Biological Process: 'de novo' posttranslational protein folding; cellular protein metabolic process; protein folding; binding of sperm to zona pellucida

Product Notes

The CCT7 cct7 (Catalog #AAA6282676) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CCT7, NT (CCT7, CCTH, NIP7-1, T-complex protein 1 subunit eta, CCT-eta, HIV-1 Nef-interacting protein) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCT7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:100-500 ELISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCT7 cct7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCT7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
