Related Product Information for anti-CCRL1 antibody
Function: Atypical chemokine receptor that controls chemokine levels and localization via high-affinity chemokine binding that is uncoupled from classic ligand-driven signal transduction cascades, resulting instead in chemokine sequestration, degradation, or transcytosis. Also known as interceptor (internalizing receptor) or chemokine-scavenging receptor or chemokine decoy receptor. Acts as a receptor for chemokines CCL2, CCL8, CCL13, CCL19, CCL21 and CCL25. Chemokine-binding does not activate G-protein-mediated signal transduction but instead induces beta-arrestin recruitment, leading to ligand internalization. Plays an important role in controlling the migration of immune and cancer cells that express chemokine receptors CCR7 and CCR9, by reducing the availability of CCL19, CCL21, and CCL25 through internalization. Negatively regulates CXCR3-induced chemotaxis. Regulates T-cell development in the thymus.
Subunit Structure: Forms heteromers with CXCR3. Interacts with ARRB1 and ARRB2.
Post-translational Modifications: The Ser/Thr residues in the C-terminal cytoplasmic tail may be phosphorylated.
Similarity: Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Atypical chemokine receptor subfamily.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family, and is a receptor for C-C type chemokines. This receptor has been shown to bind dendritic cell- and T cell-activated chemokines including CCL19/ELC, CCL21/SLC, and CCL25/TECK. A pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome 6. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The CCRL1 ackr4 (Catalog #AAA9604998) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CCRL1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCRL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:1000 IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCRL1 ackr4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCRL1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
