Related Product Information for anti-CCR2/CKR2 antibody
C-C or b chemokine family members are characterized by a pair of adjacent cysteine residues and serve as potent chemoattractants and activators of monocytes and T cells. C-C chemokine receptor family members include CKR-1, CKR-2A, CKR-2B, CKR-3, CKR-4, CKR-5, CKR-6, CKR-7, CKR-8, CKR-9, CKR-10 and the Duffy blood group antigen. Each of these receptors are G protein coupled, seven pass transmembrane domain proteins whose major physiological role is to function in the chemotaxis of T cells and phagocytic cells to areas of inflammation. However, this receptor family has also been shown to facilitate viral infection. CKR-2 (C-C chemokine receptor type 2) is a 374 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that belongs to the C-C chemokine receptor family and is expressed as two isoforms, designated CKR-2A and CKR-2B. Both CKR-2 isoforms function as receptors for a variety of proteins, including MCP-1 and MCP-3, thereby influencing intracellular calcium levels and affecting signal transduction throughout the cell.

Uniprot Description

CCR2: a seven transmembrane protein closely related to CCR1. Receptor for the MCP-1, MCP-3 and MCP-4 chemokines. Expressed at high levels in primary neutrophils and primary monocytes, and is further upregulated on neutrophil activation and during monocyte to macrophage differentiation. Transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ions level. Alternative co receptor with CD4 for HIV-1 infection. Two splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The CCR2/CKR2 ccr2 (Catalog #AAA9435146) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CCR2/CKR2 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCR2/CKR2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunofluorescence (IF). WB: 1:100-1:1000 IHC: 1:50-1:500 IP: 1-2ug per 100-500ug of total protein (1 ml of cell lysate). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCR2/CKR2 ccr2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCR2/CKR2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
