Western Blot (WB) (Figure 1. Western blot analysis of CCL16 using anti-CCL16 antibody. Electrophoresis was performed on a 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel)/90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 50ug of sample under reducing conditions. Lane 1: human A431 whole cell lysate. After Electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a Nitrocellulose membrane at 150mA for 50-90 minutes. Blocked the membrane with 5% Non-fat Milk/TBS for 1.5 hour at RT. The membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-CCL16 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody at 0.5 ug/ml overnight at 4 degree C, then washed with TBS-0.1%Tween 3 times with 5 minutes each and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:10000 for 1.5 hour at RT. The signal is developed using an Enhanced Chemiluminescent detection (ECL) kit with Tanon 5200 system. A specific band was detected for CCL16 at approximately 18KD. The expected band size for CCL16 is at 14KD.)

Related Product Information for anti-CCL16 antibody
Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for CCL16 detection. Tested with WB, ELISA (Cap) in Human.
Background: Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 16 (CCL16) is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family that is known under several pseudonyms, including Liver-expressed chemokine (LEC) and Monotactin-1 (MTN-1). This gene is one of several cytokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for lymphocytes and monocytes but not for neutrophils. This cytokine also shows a potent myelosuppressive activity and suppresses proliferation of myeloid progenitor cells. The expression of this gene is upregulated by IL-10.

Uniprot Description

Shows chemotactic activity for lymphocytes and monocytes but not neutrophils. Also shows potent myelosuppressive activity, suppresses proliferation of myeloid progenitor cells. Recombinant SCYA16 shows chemotactic activity for monocytes and THP-1 monocytes, but not for resting lymphocytes and neutrophils. Induces a calcium flux in THP-1 cells that were desensitized by prior expression to RANTES.

Product Notes

The CCL16 ccl16 (Catalog #AAA1751509) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-CCL16 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCL16 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA Capture (EIA). WB: 0.1-0.5 mug/ml ELISA (Cap):1-5 mug/ml Tested Species: In-house tested species with positive results. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL16 ccl16 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCL16, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
