Related Product Information for anti-CNR2 antibody
Cannabinoids, a group of C21 compounds present in Cannabis sativa L., their carboxylic acids, analogs, and transformation products, are the active ingredients found in hasish and marihuana. (-)-trans-D9-tetrahydrocannabinol (D9-THC) is the major psychopharmacologically active component of cannabis. Cannabis affect cognition and memory, euphoria and sedation, and antinociception (analgesia) without the respiratory depression problems associated with opioid analgesics. To date, two sub-types of the G-protein coupled cannabinoid receptor, CB1 and CB2, have been identified. CB1 and CB2 display 7 TM domains with an extracellular N-terminus and cytoplasmic C-terminus.

NCBI Description

The cannabinoid delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol is the principal psychoactive ingredient of marijuana. The proteins encoded by this gene and the cannabinoid receptor 1 (brain) (CNR1) gene have the characteristics of a guanine nucleotide-binding protein (G-protein)-coupled receptor for cannabinoids. They inhibit adenylate cyclase activity in a dose-dependent, stereoselective, and pertussis toxin-sensitive manner. These proteins have been found to be involved in the cannabinoid-induced CNS effects (including alterations in mood and cognition) experienced by users of marijuana. The cannabinoid receptors are members of family 1 of the G-protein-coupled receptors. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

CNR2: Heterotrimeric G protein-coupled receptor for endocannabinoid 2-arachidonoylglycerol mediating inhibition of adenylate cyclase. May function in inflammatory response, nociceptive transmission and bone homeostasis. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Product Notes

The CNR2 cnr2 (Catalog #AAA611581) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Cannabinoid Receptor 2 (CB2) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Cannabinoid Receptor 2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: ELISA: 1:10,000-1:100,000 using 50-100ng of control peptide/well. Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CNR2 cnr2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cannabinoid Receptor 2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
