Related Product Information for anti-CAND1 antibody
Cullin-associated NEDD8-dissociated 1 (CAND1) plays a vital role in regulating the activity of Cullin-RING ubiquitin ligases (CRLs), which are frequently dysregulated in cancer. CAND1 expression as a predictor of poor prognosis for HCC patients. CAND1 silencing suppressed HCC cell proliferation by inducing caspase-8/RIP1-dependent apoptosis. That CAND1 could be a new therapeutic target for liver cancer. The miR-33a was decreased in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissues compared with the para-carcinoma tissues, whereas its target mRNA of cullin-associated NEDD8-dissociated protein 1 (CAND1) was increased in NSCLC tissues. the miR-33a and CAND1 played an important role in lung cancer proliferation and cell migration. CAND1 inhibits the ubiquitylation of rabphilin-3A and positively regulates AVP secretion. CAND1 is a regulator of hormone or neurotransmitter secretion. The Cullin exchange factor CAND1 is a biochemical target of C60. We also identified CAND1 in an shRNA library screen for EBV lytic reactivation.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an essential regulator of Cullin-RING ubiquitin ligases, which are in involved in ubiquitinylation of proteins degraded by the Ub proteasome system. The encoded protein binds to unneddylated cullin-RING box protein complexes and acts as an inhibitor of cullin neddylation and of Skp1, cullin, and F box ubiquitin ligase complex assembly and activity. In mammalian cell culture, this protein predominantly localizes to the cytoplasm. Knockdown of this gene in preadipocytes results in blocked adipogenesis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016]

Uniprot Description

Key assembly factor of SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin ligase complexes that promotes the exchange of the substrate-recognition F-box subunit in SCF complexes, thereby playing a key role in the cellular repertoire of SCF complexes. Acts as a F-box protein exchange factor. The exchange activity of CAND1 is coupled with cycles of neddylation conjugation: in the deneddylated state, cullin-binding CAND1 binds CUL1-RBX1, increasing dissociation of the SCF complex and promoting exchange of the F-box protein. Probably plays a similar role in other cullin-RING E3 ubiquitin ligase complexes.

Product Notes

The CAND1 cand1 (Catalog #AAA8100765) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-CAND1 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CAND1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). IHC-P: 1:500-1:2000 ICC/IF: 1:200-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CAND1 cand1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CAND1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
