Purity/Purification
Affinity purified over the control-peptide Sepharose
Form/Format
Affinity Purified

Applicable Applications for anti-CALB1 antibody
ELISA, Western Blot
Application Notes
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blotting. Other applications not tested.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 for neat serum and 1-10ug/ml for affinity pure using ECL. D28K is ~28kD.
ELISA: 1:10,000-1:100,000 using 50-100ng of control peptide/well.
Control peptide, because of its low MW (<3kD), is not suitable for Western. It should be used for ELISA or antibody blocking experiments (use 5-10 ug control peptide per 1ug of affinity purified IgG or 1ul antiserum) to confirm antibody specificity.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Immunogen
A 20-aa peptide sequence, within the C-terminal, non-calcium binding domain of mouse D28K (1) was synthesized, coupled to KLH
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Product Notes

The CALB1 calb1 (Catalog #AAA617430) is an Antibody produced from Host: Rabbit Source: Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti - Calbindin 1, Mouse (CABP28K, CALB1, Spot35 protein, Cholecalcin) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Calbindin 1, Mouse can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CALB1 calb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Calbindin 1, Mouse, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
