Rabbit CACNA1C Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CACNA1C antibody
Phospho-CACNA1C (Ser1981) Antibody
Predicted Reactivity: Pig (100%), Bovine (100%), Horse (100%), Sheep (100%), Rabbit (100%), Dog (100%)
Predicted Reactivity: Pig (100%), Bovine (100%), Horse (100%), Sheep (100%), Rabbit (100%), Dog (100%)
Tissue Specificity: Detected throughout the brain, including hippocampus, cerebellum and amygdala, throughout the heart and vascular system, including ductus arteriosus, in urinary bladder, and in retina and sclera in the eye. Expressed in brain, heart, jejunum, ovary, pancreatic beta-cells and vascular smooth muscle. Overall expression is reduced in atherosclerotic vascular smooth muscle.
IHC: 1:50-1:200
Peptide ELISA: 1:20,000-1:40,000
Note: Colocalizes with ryanodine receptors in distinct clusters at the junctional membrane, where the sarcolemma and the sarcoplasmic reticulum are in close contact. The interaction between RRAD and CACNB2 promotes the expression of CACNA1C at the cell membrane.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of extracts from mouse brain/rat brain, using Phospho-CACNA1C (Ser1981) Antibody.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of CACNA1C (Phospho-Ser1981) using EGF treated A431 whole cell lysates.-/+ means absence or presence of N peptide(non-phospho peptide) and P peptide(phospho peptide).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(At 1/100 staining Human lung cancer by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the primary antibody at 4 degree C overnight. An HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit antibody was used as the secondary antibody.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(At 1/100 staining Human colorectal cancer by IHC-P.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes an alpha-1 subunit of a voltage-dependent calcium channel. Calcium channels mediate the influx of calcium ions into the cell upon membrane polarization. The alpha-1 subunit consists of 24 transmembrane segments and forms the pore through which ions pass into the cell. The calcium channel consists of a complex of alpha-1, alpha-2/delta, beta, and gamma subunits in a 1:1:1:1 ratio. There are multiple isoforms of each of these proteins, either encoded by different genes or the result of alternative splicing of transcripts. The protein encoded by this gene binds to and is inhibited by dihydropyridine. Alternative splicing results in many transcript variants encoding different proteins. Some of the predicted proteins may not produce functional ion channel subunits. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2012]
Uniprot Description
Pore-forming, alpha-1C subunit of the voltage-gated calcium channel that gives rise to L-type calcium currents (PubMed:8392192, PubMed:7737988, PubMed:9087614, PubMed:9013606, PubMed:9607315, PubMed:12176756, PubMed:17071743, PubMed:11741969, PubMed:8099908, PubMed:12181424, PubMed:29078335, PubMed:29742403, PubMed:16299511, PubMed:20953164, PubMed:15454078, PubMed:15863612, PubMed:17224476, PubMed:24728418, PubMed:26253506, PubMed:27218670). Mediates influx of calcium ions into the cytoplasm, and thereby triggers calcium release from the sarcoplasm (). Plays an important role in excitation-contraction coupling in the heart. Required for normal heart development and normal regulation of heart rhythm (PubMed:15454078, PubMed:15863612, PubMed:17224476, PubMed:24728418, PubMed:26253506). Required for normal contraction of smooth muscle cells in blood vessels and in the intestine. Essential for normal blood pressure regulation via its role in the contraction of arterial smooth muscle cells (PubMed:28119464). Long-lasting (L-type) calcium channels belong to the 'high-voltage activated' (HVA) group (Probable).

The CACNA1C cacna1c (Catalog #AAA9614363) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phospho-CACNA1C (Ser1981) Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat Predicted Reactivity: Pig (100%), Bovine (100%), Horse (100%), Sheep (100%), Rabbit (100%), Dog (100%) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CACNA1C can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Peptide ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:1000-3000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 Peptide ELISA: 1:20,000-1:40,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CACNA1C cacna1c for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CACNA1C, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
