Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse CABP4 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CABP4 antibody
CABP4 Antibody
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the CABP family of calcium binding protein characterized by four EF-hand motifs. Mutations in this gene are associated with congenital stationary night blindness type 2B. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
Uniprot Description
CABP4: Involved in normal synaptic function through regulation of Ca(2+) influx and neurotransmitter release in photoreceptor synaptic terminals and in auditory transmission. Modulator of CACNA1D and CACNA1F, suppressing the calcium-dependent inactivation and shifting the activation range to more hyperpolarized voltages. Defects in CABP4 are the cause of congenital stationary night blindness type 2B (CSNB2B). Congenital stationary night blindness is a non-progressive retinal disorder characterized by impaired night vision. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The CABP4 cabp4 (Catalog #AAA9419222) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CABP4 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CABP4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: 1:1000-3000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CABP4 cabp4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CABP4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
