Related Product Information for anti-ATP2A2 antibody
ATP2A2 encoding the sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum Ca(2+) -ATPase2 (SERCA2) is a Darier disease (DD)-related gene. Darier disease (DD) is an autosomal dominant skin disease characterized by multiple keratotic papules in the seborrheic regions of the body. Evidence of a population-level association between DD and psychiatric disorders suggests that mutations in ATP2A2 may have pleiotropic effects on the brain as well as skin. The ATP2A2 gene encodes the SERCA protein required for active calcium reuptake to the sarcoplasmic reticulum in cardiac and slow-twitch skeletal muscle. The ATP2A2 rs3026468 variant has been associated with voluntary strength phenotypes in humans. Ultraviolet (UV) B irradiation downregulates ATP2A2/SERCA2 expression in keratinocytes, whereas cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression is dramatically upregulated by UVB.

Product Notes

The ATP2A2 (Catalog #AAA8108761) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-ATP2A2 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human, Cynomolgus and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ATP2A2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). IHC-P: 1:100-1:400. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ATP2A2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATP2A2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
