Related Product Information for anti-ATGL antibody
Triglycerides are the most efficient form of energy storage in mammalian adipose tissue during times of caloric excess. ATGL is one of the key enzymes involved in the mobilization of fatty acids from triglyceride stores in adipose tissue, catalyzing the conversion of triacylglycerols to diacylglycerols. Inhibition of ATGL markedly decreases total adipose acyl-hydrolase activity, and thus may be a potential drug target for the diabetic pathology. ATGL mRNA is detected in a wide range of tissues including adipose, lung, skeletal muscle, testis, heart, brain, and kidney, with adipose tissue expressing the highest level.

Product Notes

The ATGL (Catalog #AAA644527) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ATGL (Patatin-like Phospholipase Domain-containing Protein 2, Adipose Triglyceride Lipase, Calcium-independent Phospholipase A2, Desnutrin, IPLA2-zeta, Pigment Epithelium-derived Factor, TTS2.2, Transport-secretion Protein 2, TTS2, PNPLA2, ATGL, FP17548) reacts with Bovine, Canine, Human, Mouse, Porcine, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ATGL can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: ELISA: 1:32,000 Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml, observed in human adipose, heart and testis lysates on ~60kD bands Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 2-3ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ATGL for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATGL, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
