Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse ATG5 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-ATG5 antibody
ATG5, CT (ATG5, APG5L, ASP, Autophagy protein 5, APG5-like, Apoptosis-specific protein) (FITC)
ELISA: 1:1,000
WB: 1:100-500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of APG5L Pab in Y79 cell line, mouse liver tissue, and Hela cell line lysates.)
Testing Data
(Cos7, HEK293, MEF, and Hela cells left to right, respectively. Data courtesy of Drs. Jiefei Geng and Dan Klionsky, University of Michigan.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of APG5L (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal APG5L Antibody (P224). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the APG5L gene.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
ATG5: Required for autophagy. Conjugates to ATG12 and associates with isolation membrane to form cup-shaped isolation membrane and autophagosome. The conjugate detaches from the membrane immediately before or after autophagosome formation is completed. The ATG5-ATG12 conjugate forms a complex with several units of ATG16. Interacts with TECPR1; the interaction is direct and does not take place when ATG16 is associated with the ATG5- ATG12 conjugate. By apoptotic stimuli. Ubiquitous. The mRNA is present at similar levels in viable and apoptotic cells, whereas the protein is dramatically highly expressed in apoptotic cells. Belongs to the ATG5 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The ATG5 atg5 (Catalog #AAA6276186) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ATG5, CT (ATG5, APG5L, ASP, Autophagy protein 5, APG5-like, Apoptosis-specific protein) (FITC) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ATG5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-100 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ATG5 atg5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATG5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
